New Page 1
What is a Mini-Audit? A quick review of your ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
What do I need? Top 25 ICD-10 and CPT codes. Fee Ticket, any ICD-10 or CPT code cheat sheets, 3 - 6 Progress Notes. Up to five coding/billing questions.
What are the deliverables? You will get a review of your CPT and ICD-10 codes, any missed or incorrect ICD-10 or CPT codes and recommendations for further training. After conducting thousands of audits and training hundreds of coders, billers and physicians worldwide, I have found that most errors or omissions can be found quickly and are both similar and obvious, from practice to practice, to someone trained to find them. Fixing just one error, a missing code or element of documentation can make a difference of thousands of dollars per month. Your only regret from a mini-audit -- is that you did not have one done earlier!
Is this done onsite? Most are done remotely. If the practice wanted to audit multiple charts or include onsite training an onsite audit might be cost effective. Client would pay all travel costs.
How long does it take? Turnaround can range from a few hours to two weeks depending on current work load and travel schedule. Generally a mini-audit is about four hours of work. Additional consulting can be purchased at a rate of $95 per hour. Contact Jeffrey Restuccio if you have any particular turnaround needs.
