Ritecode.com has
been offering both onsite and online coding, documentation and
billing training since 1999. We are often asked if our online
training courses are approved for AHIMA CEUs.
Currently (Jan
2010) Ritecode.com
online courses are not pre-approved by AHIMA. (We plan to submit
courses in Q1 2010.)
However, students
can still receive AHIMA CEU credit for Ritecode.com online
courses by following the guidelines below:
Upon completion of
any of the courses listed, you will need to complete either a
final exam or submit "key codes." These codes are
revealed after achieving 100% accuracy on each sample test. Each
test has ten (10) questions.
Note the
hours awarded are roughly equivalent to how long it takes to
complete each online module.
Once ritecode.com
receives the course completion information, we will E-mail you a
generic certificate of completion, with the course description and hours
allocated to the course.
You must keep these
certificates on file in the event of an audit by AHIMA.
If in doubt, you can
contact AHIMA concerning CEUS and their policy at 312-233-1100.
