CCS
- Certified Coding Specialist (Hospital) - Issued by
AHIMA.
To qualify to sit for this certification exam, you must have a
high school diploma. This Coding Training Programs will afford you
the necessary education to sit for this exam, and to pass it if
you've successfully coded all the reports in our Coding Training
Programs, and you have thoroughly retained the information in
these programs. Examination fee is $250.

CCS-P - Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based
- Issued by AHIMA. To qualify to sit for this certification
exam, you must have a high school diploma. This certification is
supported by the Society of Clinical Coding (SCC), and the
Ambulatory Care Section (ACS). It is specifically tailored to test
the skills of coders serving private and group practices, and
other physician-based settings. Examination fee is $250.

RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator - To
qualify to sit for this certification exam, you must have a B.
A.
degree from an accredited Health Information Administration (HIA),
a four year college equivalent, usually on campus or in a higher
education extension type of facility.

RHIT -
Registered Health Information Technician -
To
qualify to sit for this certification exam, you must have an
Associates Degree from an accredited Health Information Technology
Program (HIT), which are two year college equivalents, usually on
campus or in a higher education extension type of facility, or in
a technical or trade school. The organization behind this
certification also offers twelve month home study program that you
must complete in addition to 45 quarter hours of college credit in
HIT in order to sit for the exam.
